Job Seekers Support Program

Overview

Alora Consultants in conjunction with Taste 4 Success Skillnet wishes to offer businesses an opportunity to participate in the Job Seekers Support Program (JSSP). This initiative is aimed at the unemployed, blends training with work placements/access to employment and is grant funded at 100%. A pilot of the program was completed in 2010 with huge success.

The Process

The unemployed candidate will receive 3 days Project Management training which will include Root Cause Analysis. This training will take place in January 2012. Each candidate will then enter work placement for a minimum of 5 working days with a participating company, where they will execute a project for the company on site at NO COST to the company. During the duration of the work placement, the candidate will abide by company terms & conditions of work such as HR, Health & Safety, cGMP etc. When 50-60% of the project has been completed the candidate will submit an interim status report to Alora Consultants detailing the progress of the project. When the project is completed the candidate will submit a final report on the project again to Alora Consultants detailing the outcomes. All company confidential information will be excluded from these reports. The performance of the candidate will be assessed during the work placement by Alora Consultants with the participating company. The performance of the participating company will also be assessed. The duration of the work placement can be increased if the participating company and the candidate both agree. The work placement should start 2-3 weeks after the training has been completed. The candidates will all have 3rd level qualifications, previous work experience, training in project management and lean six sigma.
